Rachel & Rob | Comrie Croft

A Beautiful Day Filled with Personal Touches, Woodland Views and Unforgettable Moments

Crieff Photography – 17th July 2026

Rachel & Rob celebrated their beautiful wedding at Comrie Croft, one of Perthshire’s most unique and picturesque wedding venues. Surrounded by woodland, rolling countryside and stunning scenery, it provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and unforgettable day.

One of the biggest advantages of booking a husband and wife photography team is that we can be in two places at once. Paula spent the morning with Rachel and her bridesmaids as they got ready in Comrie Croft’s beautiful new cabin in the woods, while I was with Rob, capturing those final moments before the ceremony with his family and groomsmen.

The woodland cabin was the perfect place for the bridal preparations. Filled with natural light and surrounded by peaceful woodland, it created such a calm and relaxed atmosphere as Rachel enjoyed the morning with her closest friends. There was plenty of excitement, laughter and anticipation as everyone got ready, making for some wonderful, natural photographs before the celebrations began.

Meanwhile, I spent the morning with Rob and his groomsmen as they welcomed guests and enjoyed those final moments before the ceremony. Having two photographers means every part of the story is documented from both perspectives, so neither of the couple has to miss a single moment.

Before the ceremony, Rachel and Rob chose to share a private first look, giving them the chance to see each other away from the crowds before the celebrations began. These moments are always incredibly special, allowing couples to relax together, calm any pre ceremony nerves and simply enjoy a few quiet minutes together.

They also decided to make the most of this time by having their couple portraits before the ceremony. Comrie Croft’s woodland setting provided the perfect backdrop, and we also headed up to the High Meadow, where the stunning views over the surrounding hills made for some truly beautiful photographs. We did have a few amusing moments hiding behind trees and taking little detours to avoid some early arriving guests! It certainly added to the fun and meant Rachel and Rob were able to enjoy much more of their drinks reception with family and friends later in the day, rather than spending lots of time away having photographs.

As the ceremony began, Rachel and Rob made the heartfelt decision to walk down the aisle together, making a beautiful entrance as a couple. It was a wonderfully personal moment that perfectly reflected them and set the tone for the rest of the day. With two photographers, we were able to capture their entrance from different angles while also documenting the smiles, happy tears and reactions from their family and friends as they watched the couple begin this next chapter together.

The ceremony also included a beautiful ring warming, where their wedding rings were passed through their guests before being exchanged. Each person held the rings for a moment and shared a hug with the next person as they passed them along, creating a lovely sense of connection and involving everyone in such a meaningful part of the ceremony. It was a really personal touch and a wonderful reflection of the love and support surrounding Rachel and Rob on their wedding day.

Following the ceremony, everyone enjoyed celebrating together while we captured a mixture of natural, candid moments alongside relaxed family photographs. Comrie Croft offers so many beautiful locations for portraits, from the woodland surroundings to the open countryside, giving Rachel and Rob a stunning variety of images while allowing them to spend plenty of time enjoying their guests.

Throughout the rest of the day, having two photographers continued to make a real difference. While one of us documented the speeches and the reactions around the room, the other captured the laughter, tears and little moments happening amongst family and friends. During the evening celebrations, we were able to cover different angles of the first dance, guests enjoying themselves on the dance floor and all those spontaneous moments that tell the full story of the day.

Rachel & Rob’s wedding was a perfect reminder of why we love working together. As a husband and wife team, we don’t just provide extra coverage. We tell the complete story from two perspectives, ensuring every important moment, every reaction and every memory is beautifully preserved.

Rachel & Rob, thank you so much for trusting us to capture your incredible Comrie Croft wedding. It was an absolute privilege to be part of your celebration, and we wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
