Amy & Laura’s Spring Wedding at Bachilton Barn
A Stylish Spring Celebration Full of Warmth & Joy
Amy and Laura’s wedding at Bachilton Barn was the perfect reminder that even the coldest, windiest Scottish days can be filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Their celebration was relaxed, stylish, and full of personality—from a unique morning getting ready together to a lively ceilidh that had everyone dancing the night away.
Getting Ready Together – A Beautiful Start to the Day
One of the most special parts of Amy and Laura’s wedding was how they chose to start the day—getting ready together in one of the onsite cottages at Bachilton Barn. It created such a calm, intimate atmosphere, allowing them to share those early moments of excitement side by side.
As the morning unfolded, they then separated for the final touches, including putting on their dresses. This added a sense of anticipation and made the moment of seeing each other at the ceremony even more meaningful.
A Cosy Barn Ceremony
With the weather outside being exceptionally cold and very windy, the ceremony took place inside the beautiful barn at Bachilton. The rustic interiors created the perfect cosy setting—warm, inviting, and full of character.
As Amy and Laura stood together to exchange vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends, the atmosphere was heartfelt and emotional. The barn provided a stunning backdrop, with its natural textures and soft lighting adding to the intimate feel of the ceremony.
Indoor Drinks Reception – Warmth & Laughter
Following the ceremony, guests stayed indoors for the drinks reception—a perfect decision given the weather outside. The space was filled with laughter, conversation, and that unmistakable post-ceremony buzz.
This part of the day was all about relaxed, documentary-style moments—guests reconnecting, celebrating, and enjoying the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Bachilton Barn does so well.
Couple Portraits Around the Barn & Stables
Despite the chilly conditions, Amy and Laura embraced the outdoors for their couple portraits—and it was more than worth it.
We explored the stables and rustic barn buildings, using the textures and tones of the venue to create natural, timeless images. One of the standout moments was capturing walking shots along the track, with the low Spring sunshine adding a soft, golden glow to the scene.
These portraits perfectly reflected their connection—relaxed, joyful, and completely in the moment.
