RYAN & LINDSAY – Comrie Croft Wedding Photography

A wedding at Comrie Croft holds a place dear to our hearts as it is one of the first places that we covered a wedding and we’ve also seen it grow from small beginnings, to the wonderful wedding venue it is now. We first met Ryan and Lindsay at Comrie Croft over a year ago to hear all about their wedding plans and were immediately struck by their shared humour and creativity. Lindsay was full of amazing ideas for her wedding, as a graphic designer by profession, she was literally buzzing with plans. We knew from that time it would be both a  unique and highly personal wedding. Fast forward to their pre wedding shoot in a cornfield in the summer, being chased by a farmer (it was fine!) creating some very romantic shots and then ones full of laughter – that shared humour was evidently a vital part of their glue.

As a local Perthshire bride Lindsay opted to get ready at her parent’s farmhouse just outside Crieff and her wedding morning summed up everything that was really special about the wedding. Mum was busy preparing the beautiful bouquets – scented soft purple and lilac bouquets of freesias, hand tied with a piece of heirloom lace from granny’s vintage collection nestled in the prettiest Cadbury’s chocolate box from the 1950’s. Lindsay’s gown from the talented Flossy and Dossy hung in her parent’s room as the spaniels circled helping out and the girls were expertly styled by Meigan and Lauren from Sam park in Crieff. Lindsay had even designed and created her own wedding stationery which was a preview into the very unique theme of animals! The boys were suitably relaxed and spent the morning taking in the vibes of the Croft and donning suitable kilted attire.

Lindsay was driven through snow capped Perthshire countryside to Comrie Croft in her dad’s Landcover and was piped into the wedding ceremony in front of the most amazing backdrop. That backdrop – hand drawn by Lindsay and featuring the bride and groom’s favourite animals! Every thought went into the wedding from gold sparkly stars twinkling above the couple’s heads to a penguin piñata and doughnut wall. Just awesome.

Guys we had a blast – THANK YOU. We didn’t want to leave! Here’s a wee preview – CONGRATULATIONS … Lots of love. X
